He is: Working

I'm in the midst of working on a big project for Land O'Lakes. I'll hold off on too many details until it launches. For the photography of it, I travelled out to Pennsylvania to shoot farm families with Jonathan Chapman. I first saw his work when he documented Bill Holm:

And then for Colle+McVoy, he has done quite a bit including our Purina work, documenting Best-In-Show type dog shows:

It was a great experience, we had a great time, here's a preview of what we shot.

Jonathan's assistant on the shoot was another amazing photographer, Josh Grubbs. Josh rounded out his portfolio and his tumblr with a plethora of cat photos.

After a long, exciting journey, I'm proud to announce the new and improved ColleMcVoy.com. Making a site for yourself is always hard but this one is definitely a testament to lots of talented people doing their best work. After a lot of iterations, we ended up with this:

It was largely an exercise in restraint and simplicity to get to a unique experience. The hardest element of this whole thing was getting the search algorithm to work the way that we all wanted. As with anything, we're just getting started, there are great things in the works to continue to improve functionality, the content and everything else so keep checking back.

All is Bright

It's holiday time again! I worked with Design Director Laura Qvale and the rest of the rockin' KNOCK team to create this year's Target holiday in-store experience, including the massive sparkling tree in the downtown atrium. New Media Artist Carl Martin shot this fabulous video of the whole experience. Hope you enjoy it, and may all of your holidays be bright!

NEW KNOCK WORK

Hard to believe I've been working with Knock for almost 4 years. They have recently posted some new work to their lovely website. I had the pleasure of working with them on the Holiday 2010 and Back To School 2010 campaigns for Target stores. Time certainly flies when you are working with great people on such fun projects.

TREATS FROM TREAT

Here's a smattering of prints I've been working on with Treat & Company.

Also, their gift-wrap mailer was chosen as the quarterly winner of the PaperSpecs Gallery Take Note Awards. Check out those spokesmodels! So lovely. Congrats guys.

ELIMINATE UGLY

You've gotta love that tagline! I've had the pleasure of working with Treat & Company over the last few months, helping to contribute to their new print and pattern collection now available for your viewing pleasure online. They are also currently presenting their collections at Printsource New York, The Premier Market for Surface and Textile Design in the USA. Stop by booth G15 if you are at the show, and if not, enjoy the collections from the comfort of your own computer.

Ben McKean

I've been shooting with the ever-energetic and talented Ben McKean this week. Here are a few images from Ben's portfolio of Lili's daughters and Todd's little girl (Knock). Love! Check out more of his work AND, as if that's not impressive enough, he also got a perfect score on the FM 100 Hue Test..... jerk.

JOHN CHRISTENSON

I had the opportunity to shoot with the super talented John Christenson at some fabulous locations around town, including the one shown (Denny Kemp's home in uptown). I love, love, love John's work, and he and his whole team were great to work with and a whole lotta fun. Check out his online portfolio. I'll try to post some of our shots once they land in-store. Stay tuned.
